    The edges of the adhesive detach from the skin

    As the edges of the adhesive begins to detach from the skin, they will lift and create channels underneath. Detaching edges typically happens if the adhesive is not big enough to follow the movements or stretching of the area around the stoma, or if you have not applied it in the optimal way.
